A-Plus® Schoolboard Paint

A-Plus® Schoolboard Paint is an alkyd based paint that dries to a flat durable finish. It is best used for classroom blackboards, bulletin boards and similar flat surfaces intended for chalk markings.

Sheen: Flat

Coverage: 25-30sqm per gallon/coat

Surface Dry: 2–3 hrs

Recoat Interval: 6-8 hrs

Dry Through: Curing time: 8 hours
Full cure in 3 days at room temperature and 50% relative humidity

Thinning: Not more than 1L of A-Plus® PG Enamel Reducer for every gallon paint

Clean-up Solvent: A-Plus® PG Enamel Reducer

Surface Preparation & Precautions

1. Surface to be painted must be clean and dry, free from dust, dirt and other foreign contaminants.
2. Hammer nail holes and sand any surface defects with large grit sandpaper for better adhesion.
3. If previously painted, strip off all loose and chalking paint with A-Plus Supertanggal® Paint Remover.

Painting Procedure

Primer:

At least 2 coats of A-Plus® Flatwall Enamel White

Putty:

For minor surface imperfections, patch up with A-Plus® Enamel Glazing Putty then sand lightly.

Topcoat:

Apply at least 2 coats of A-Plus® Schoolboard Paint using either brush/roller. Allow at least 6-8 hours recoating interval.
