A-Plus® Oil Wood Stain is formulated to provide decorative, water repellent, and wood preserving properties. It dries to a silk matte finish and emphasizes the grain, bringing out the natural beauty in any kind of wood.

Surface Preparation & Precautions
- Make sure wood material is fully kiln dried/treated.
- If previously painted, strip off all loose and chalking paint with A-Plus Supertanggal® Paint Remover. To remove any wood discoloration, apply A-Plus® Wood Bleach #1 & #2.
- Sand surface smooth using #180 grit sandpaper to eliminate surface imperfections.
- Patch up surface imperfections using A-Plus® Enamel Glazing Putty or A-Plus® Fast Drying Plastic Wood Filler.
- Surface to be applied on must be thoroughly cleaned, free of any contaminants that can affect adhesion such as wax, oil, grease, moisture, and loose particles.
- Avoid painting under extreme environmental conditions and/or bad weather conditions.
Painting Procedure
NEW WOOD SURFACES:
- Stain (optional): Apply A-Plus® Oil Wood Stain using either brush or spray.
- Putty: A-Plus® Enamel Glazing Putty or A-Plus® Fast Drying Plastic Wood Filler. Sand lightly before topcoat application.
- Topcoat: Apply at least 1-2 coats paint of choice A-Plus® Wood and Floor Varnishes.
REPAINTING:
- Strip off old paint using A-Plus Supertanggal® Paint and Varnish Remover. If old finish is in good condition, sand surface thoroughly.
- If necessary, apply A-Plus® Wood Bleach #1 & #2 to remove discoloration on wood.
- Make sure to clean and dry surface before applying A-Plus® Oil Wood Stain.
